Jouw impact

Als Mechanical Integrator ben jij de schakel die projecten klaarmaakt voor overdracht naar de klant. Je: 

• Integreert diverse componenten tot één betrouwbare inflatable en borgt kwaliteit in de laatste projectfase.  

• Zorgt dat de inflatable op een veilige en efficiënte manier kan worden opgebouwd op locatie—backstage, op bouwplaatsen of waar onze projecten tot leven komen.  

• Test en bouwt op in de werkplaats, zodat elke installatie storingsvrij draait.  

• Communiceert soepel met het projectteam over taken, planning en risico’s.  

• Werkt samen met collega’s aan afronding en nazorg, en draagt actief bij aan interne standaarden en processen.  

• Werkt georganiseerd en veilig, volgens onze veiligheidsrichtlijnen; waar nodig pak je lichte facilitaire/adhoc taken mee. 

• Je hebt ervaring in de entertainmentindustrie en begrijpt de omgeving en de dynamiek ervan.

Are you a maker with a razorsharp eye for detail—someone who gets energy from turning individual components into one perfectly functioning whole? At Airworks, you work at the unique intersection of technology and art: you help bring our airsculptures to life, from test setups in the workshop to safe, efficient onsite installations for our clients. 

Your impact 

As a Mechanical Integrator, you are the crucial link that prepares each project for handover to the client. You will: 

• Integrate a wide range of components into one reliable inflatable and ensure quality in the final phase of the project. 

• Ensure that the inflatable can be set up safely and efficiently on site—whether backstage, on construction sites, or wherever our creations come to life. 

• Test and assemble installations in the workshop to ensure everything runs smoothly and without issues. 

• Communicate effectively with the project team regarding tasks, planning, and potential risks. 

• Collaborate closely with colleagues on finishing work and aftercare, contributing to internal standards and continuous improvement. 

• Work in an organised and safetyconscious manner, following our safety guidelines; you are happy to take on light facility or adhoc tasks when needed. 

• You have experience working in the entertainment industry and understand the environment and its dynamics.

Dit zoeken wij in jou 

• Je hebt basiskennis van integratierelevante technische disciplines zoals rigging, mechanische beweging, geautomatiseerde en gemotoriseerde machines, gereedschapsgebruik en timmermansvaardigheden, algemene constructietechniek, basiskennis van circuits, kabels en voedingen, basis DMX- besturing en bekabeling. 

• Je communiceert helder—zowel op de vloer als in (korte) schriftelijke overdrachten.  

• Je werkt gestructureerd, met oog voor detail en een proactieve instelling.  

• Veiligheidsbewustzijn is voor jou vanzelfsprekend.  

• Je vindt het leuk om te schakelen tussen verschillende werkgebieden. Fysiek werk—zoals lopen, buigen, tillen en knielen—vind je prima.

What we’re looking for 

• You have basic knowledge of integrationrelated technical disciplines such as rigging, mechanical motion, automated and motordriven machinery, tool handling and carpentry skills, general construction principles, basic knowledge of circuits, cables and power supplies, and basic DMX control and cabling. 

• You communicate clearly—both on the work floor and in short written updates. 

• You work in a structured way, with strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset. 

• You naturally prioritise safety. 

• You enjoy switching between different types of work. You’re comfortable with physical tasks such as walking, bending, lifting, and kneeling.
